Plug valve is a valve whose opening and closing parts (plugs) are driven by the valve stem and rotate around the axis of the valve stem. The shape of its valve plug can be cylindrical or conical. These shapes make the structure of the plug valve lightweight. It is most suitable for cutting off and connecting medium and shunting, and sometimes for throttling.
